Acharya Sabhyata Giri

Yoga Alliance International–Certified Yoga Teacher, Teacher Trainer & Holistic Healer

Sabhyata Giri is a Nepal-born yoga teacher, teacher trainer, and holistic healer dedicated to the classical study and transmission of yogic knowledge. Raised in a spiritually grounded environment, she was introduced from an early age to mindfulness, ethical living, and self-inquiry, which laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to yoga as both a philosophical discipline and a practical path toward self-realization.

Her practice has been deeply influenced by Vipassana Meditation, through which she discovered the transformative power of silence, disciplined awareness, and direct observation of the mind. Inspired by these insights, she completed extensive yoga teacher training programs—100-, 200-, 300-, and 500-hour certifications—from respected institutions in Nepal and India. She is certified by Yoga Alliance International and remains committed to maintaining the authenticity of yogic teachings while adapting them to the needs of contemporary practitioners.

Sabhyata’s teaching methodology integrates Classical Hatha Yoga and the Mysore tradition of Ashtanga Yoga with Vinyasa Flow and Yoga Therapy. Her instruction emphasizes precise asana alignment, biomechanics, yoga anatomy, sequencing, adjustments, and injury prevention, ensuring students develop both theoretical understanding and embodied intelligence. She sees teaching as a process of transmission rather than instruction alone, encouraging inquiry, discipline, and self-reflection.

Beyond physical practice, she provides systematic guidance in the subtle and philosophical dimensions of yoga, including Pranayama, Dhyana (Meditation), Chakra Theory, Bandhas, Mudras, and foundational yogic philosophy. Through this holistic approach, students experience yoga as a science of body, breath, mind, and consciousness.

Sabhyata is also certified in 100 hours Aerial Yoga and trained in Reiki and Sound Healing, supporting her integrative and therapeutic approach to well-being. She has contributed to yoga therapy programs in hospitals and rehabilitation centers, applying yogic principles to foster recovery, resilience, and overall health.

She has taught Yoga Teacher Training Courses and intensive programs across Nepal and India, including in Pokhara, Kathmandu, Rishikesh, and Mumbai. As a Yoga Teacher Trainer, she conducts 100-, 200-, 300-, and 500-hour programs, mentoring students who now practice and teach worldwide.

Before dedicating herself fully to yoga, Sabhyata pursued the performing arts as a professional actress and theatre artist in Nepal and India. This experience refined her embodied awareness, breath intelligence, concentration, and emotional sensitivity—qualities that now inform her approach to asana, pranayama, and meditation.

Known for her calm presence, scholarly clarity, and compassionate guidance, Acharya Sabhyata creates a disciplined yet nurturing environment that honors yogic lineage and lived experience. She regards yoga as a sacred science of self-transformation—cultivating clarity, ethical awareness, inner stability, and spiritual insight—and guides sincere practitioners toward a balanced and awakened life.
